Using the Mail
Finding a Mailbox
Step 1
Find your local mailbox; he's usually pretty lonely. They can be found in most towns, but for our example, we're going to use the one in Prontera.
Step 2
Click on it. It'll ask you if you want to pay 130z. Obviously, if you need to use the mail, mister expensive mailbox will need that zeny.
Sending Mail
After paying your zeny, the menu opens up. Click on the Write tab. It'll bring up a menu with three areas: To, Title, and then the big blank area that is your body. (I hope my body can take it.)
I'm going to go ahead and fill out a mail just to show how it's done. I'll also point out something else that's neat here.
Notice at the bottom it says 69 zeny and to the right of that it shows 3 concentration potions. That's right! You can set the amount of zeny you want to give someone by clicking the button Zeny AMT. And!! you can also drag and drop equips, items, whatever you wish into the little box to the right -- the same one that I put the concentration potions in!
Once you've finished your letter and added everything you want to send, make sure the name of the person you're sending it to is right, and then click Send!
Receiving Mail
Oh look, I have mail!
Step 1
Go to your friendly mailbox again and pay your fees. If you've received a mail in-game, the game will let you know in your chatbox. Since you're wondering how to check it anyways, this is how the menu will look after you've received a mail.
Step 2
I received a mail from Whats my name about LOL 69. To view the mail, click on the subject (in this case the LOL 69). It'll display the message in a new window for you.
Step 3
Since I received both zeny and an item, I'm going to tell you how to get these items now! At the bottom right (yeah, the zeny and items part) click the items you received or just drag them out of the window. It will tell you that you got your item, but it won't tell you that you got your zeny. You'll just have to trust it.
Step 4
Now you can click Reply to send them a thanks or follow-up message. Or you could click Remove to delete the mail. Though you can't remove the mail unless you've taken out the items and zeny in it (thank God).
